2019 - Cincinnati, OH - Tabula Rasa Gallery - Solo Exhibition

As I looked back through photo albums, I reflected on my childhood and teenage years. I remember how I was treated back then as a girl, and I think about how that has changed since transitioning externally to male. I want to let the people in my life know that I am the same person; the only thing that has changed are people’s perceptions of me. The memories that were displayed on the wall and in the photo albums are still valuable. These moments shared shouldn’t be invalidated because of societal views on how to treat people depending on their gender. The soul surpasses such ideologies.
