
Elan Schwartz (he/they) is an interdisciplinary artist from Cincinnati, OH. They explore the active practice of individualized love in an everyday, sustainable manner. Through interactive installations, embroidery, and photography, he exposes his innermost thoughts and emotions and he delivers his vulnerabilities in the hopes that the ones sharing in the work meet them with their own.
Elan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a certificate in Pre-Art Therapy from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. They have exhibited at galleries, organizations, and institutions locally and internationally including The Contemporary Arts Center (Cincinnati), Matca (Vietnam), Hildebrandt Artist Collective (Cleveland), Dream Clinic Project Space (Columbus), and BasketShop Gallery (Cincinnati). Elan was an Illuminate Artist Fellow (2024) and has attended residencies at The Peter Bullough Foundation (2024) and the Contemporary Arts Center (2025).
