Elan Schwartz (he/they) is an interdisciplinary artist born and based in Cincinnati, OH. They explore the active practice of individualized love in an everyday sustainable manner. He sees the power and value in vulnerability. Through interactive installations, embroidery, and photography, he exposes his innermost thoughts and emotions. He delivers his vulnerabilities in the hopes that the ones sharing in the work meet his with their own.
Schwartz holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a certificate in Pre-Art Therapy from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. They have exhibited at galleries, organizations, and institutions  locally and internationally including The Contemporary Arts Center (Cincinnati), Matca (Vietnam), Hildebrandt Artist Collective (Cleveland), and Visionaries + Voices (Cincinnati).
They will be in Virginia this fall as an Artist in Residence at The Peter Bullough Foundation.
